Windows 7 MSTSC RDP 7 Client Intermittently Fails to Log On Through 2X LoadBalancer
Posted by David Saliba on 05 February 2010 05:08 PM

Some Microsoft updates for RDP 7 client may cause its SSL security feature to negotiate incorrectly.

If connections with MSTSC (RDP 7 on Windows 7, Vista, or XP with the RDP 7 client installed) fail, but the 2X client works, use the following solutions:

a) (preferred) Use the 2X Client, free of charge
b) If the 2X Client can't be used, change the RDP security layer from the terminal server from Negotiate to RDP Security Layer.

Note: SSL is only supported using the 2X Client connecting through the 2X Gateway in SSL mode.
