ThinClient OS Hardware Profile List and USB-Pen Drive Test

Gathering hardware information ( and testing the USB drive )

On your thin client after the TCOS has finished booting

1) Press [ctrl] + [alt] + [f2] Might need to pressed twice
2) Press [Enter]
3) Type the following command:

     cd /mnt/shared/removable/sda*

*Note :

    sda1 can change
    can be sda

    depends on pen drive , number of disks on the machine already and the number of partitions.

   If you cannot access it do :

   cd /mnt/shared/removable



   and enter the folder.


   cd /mnt/shared/removable/sda1

4) Store the Hardware and pci profiles for further analysis ( and to test the usb device )

   lshw > lshw.log
   lspci > lspci.log
   cd /

5) Remove the pen drive
6) send us the two files lshw.log, lspci.log
7) Press [ctrl] + [alt] + [F7] to return to the desktop
