2X ThinClientServer – Registered Clients Licensing

In using the 2X ThinClientServer, users should be aware that all thin clients registered on the thin client network, whether online or offline, count toward the number of registered clients serviced by your 2X ThinClientServer license. As seen in the screenshot below, the 2X ThinClientServer settings show two registered thin clients, one online and one offline:



Users must recognize that although one thin client is listed as “offline” within the network, the 2X ThinClientServer still recognizes both devices as registered thin clients within the network, meaning that both thin clients will be counted toward the total capacity of your 2X ThinClientServer license, which is purchased per given number of network thin client devices. As seen below, both devices show as registered devices within the network:


Thus, device registration on the 2X ThinClientNetwork does not depend upon online/offline status, but whether the device is shown as currently active or has been removed. To remove a device from the license list, select the device to remove from the device list, and hit the remove button, which will allow you to free up 2X ThinClientServer license capacity.
