Enabling Log Level 6
Posted by Lee Warren on 06 November 2014 03:26 PM

The proxy gateway and publishing agent use different registry keys to trigger the log level.

To enable logging for publishing agent you need to use the following steps:

1. In the registry editor go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\2X\2XController (For 32bit operating systems leave out the 'Wow6432Node' folder)
2. If not created already, create a new DWORD key called 'LogLevel'. Assign it a decimal value of '6'. Click ok.
3. Create a new DWORD key called 'ConsoleLogLevel'. Assign it a decimal value of '6'. Click ok.
4. Create a new DWORD key called 'Debug'. Assign it a decimal value of '1'. Click ok.
5. Create a new DWORD key called 'MoreDetails'. Assign it a value of '1'. Click ok. This is used only for publishing agent.

To apply these settings all you need to do is press apply from the console. You don't need to restart the publishing agent.

To enable logging for 2x Proxy Gateway you need to use the following steps for each gateway:

1. In the registry editor go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\2X\2XProxyGateway (For 32bit operating systems leave out the 'Wow6432Node' folder)
Click ok.

These settings can be applied by simply changing the description of the gateway from the console and press apply.
