Symptoms of issue

Universal Scanning does not work on Windows Server 2008 R2 upwards. The scanning Application configured might prompt you that no TWAIN devices have been detected or installed. 

Versions affected

2X ApplicationServer XG – All Versions


Installations of Windows Server 2008 R2 and above might require the installation of the Desktop Experience feature on the server.

It is important to note that the Scanning Application used for scanning purposes needs to be configured in the 2X ApplicationServer XG console. More information can be found in the Universal Scanning chapter available here.
